Never heard of a state closing an area to hunting because of rough going. Protecting the game from what? Maybe the area that is above ground is small and closed off and whoever makes it onto it will have deer in a barrel.

I agree.... it's NOTlike deer just evolved and haven't had to go through these same circumstances years ago. Total BS.

happens down here in louisiana sometimes too on the wma land. When most of the woods flood, all the deer go to what little land is left. I guess they think it would be too easy. I never liked the idea but it happens here too

White river NWR has 166,000 acres. Most of it is flooded right now. I have some areas on Cache river I would like to get to now. But, you can not even get to the boat ramp.
