Ive been very impressed with the performance Ive gotten w/ sonic heads. In the past 3 years, Ive killed 5 deer, and all 5 had the same result, complete pass throughs , no matter what the angle, or what it hits going through, and the arrow buried deep in the ground behind the deer . No deer has made it more than 40 yds. There also very economical 40$/6 and fly great! Im very surprised though, more people dont use these heads

So I decided to see how many Xs I could shoot these things through bone and hide, to show how good penetration is, and see how much abuse they can take before falling apart. Im actually using two 125 grain sonics, that were already used this season to kill a mature doe, and 140# buck ,so keep in mind these heads have already done their job, and are not as sharp as they were before they were used. Heres the results.
Pic 1 is the two heads before the test.
pic 2 is the ribs of the buck I killed w/ the arrow that killed it showing the angle of the shot.
pic 3, 4, & 5 are the bucks 2 scapula and hide and the 1st 2nd and 3rd shot w/ the same arrow
pic6 is the 1st arrow almost passing through ribs, sawed in half w/ the rear of the ribs stuck inside the font half, w/ the hide and both scapula in front of it. this was after the arrow had busted through both scapula 3Xs not to mention completely passing through the buck at a hard angle, 2 days earlier!
pic 7 shot the same bone/hide pile w/ both arrows a couple more Xs at this point blade are dull but still intact!
pic8 shot the spine just to try and break or bend it, nope!
pic9 both scapula after being shot 6 or 7 Xs w/ both sonics.
pic10 both heads after the test and at least 10 shots into bone and hide, not including they deer they killed.
BTW I dont work for american broadhead co.(sonic) nor am I a prostaffer. Just passing along my experience to someone who might be looking for a great flying, deeeeeeeeeeeeep penetrating and super tough head. Just make sure the rear lock nut is super tight and they wont come apart, as you can plainly see. Enjoy!
