Default Ups and downs...(hopefully going up)

well to be quiet frank my first bow season has not been anything good at all....i am/was so unprepared scouting wise it wasnt funny and i still am...i am in serious need of help.....in the 1 month and a half of bow season in MO i have seen like 3 deer...2 of which were when i was right in the middle of putting up a stand....anways i need some advice on scouting a place to put a stand or to hunt....right now i thought i had a good spot over acorns but i had had 1 pic in the past 2 weeks so im not so sure....i have not seen a rub or scrape to help me out even a little bit. the looking up part is that combines are finally in the fields here in NW MO so maybe it will push the deer to the woods(where i hunt) and maybe i will start to see some action....anyways any tips to where they are or will be would be appreciated...

Very few bowhunters have a successful 1st season. took me about 5 seasons to really get my act together. My best tip for getting close to deer, is get into the thickest brush you can find, get up high, and wait. When you get tired of that ,wait some more. good luck.

Took me 3 years to kill a doe. Then 2 weeks later killed my first buck. Point is dont get too down and keep plugging away. This is my 10th year and so far it has been dry. Really sucks but thats the way it goes with a bow. Hope your luck improves as well as mine.

How many times have you moved your new stand....?????? or did you get lazy and choose to just keep sittin in the same place hoping deer will come to you???? hmmmmm No one on here is goin to give you a magic formula or pinpoint a location on your property where you are sure to see deer. It takes alot of hard work and constant moving to pinpoint where deer are traveling.. One thing is for sure, keep sittin in the same spot where you are seeing nothing and thats more than likely what you will keep seeing!!! Earth to kalvin....stop bein lazy and start movin that new portable around and find those deer!!!!!!!
