I went to check out a spot i found and hunted last year. Last year it was a bean field. My hope was there would be corn standing there. Sadly nope. There was a odd looking weed i figured it was some weed deer would not eat. IT looks like wheat about waist to chest high with a slight to dark brown. I blow it off as a bad spot with no food. Well i went to the sign in office and sitting by the door where 4 big bags. It said wheat free and they where about 50 to 80 pound bags. So i am thinking it is wheat. Plus i have found about 5 fields that where beans last year that are planted in the same stuff. I doubt a weed popped up in 5 fields as beans last year when there a mile or so part.
DO deer like wheat also last year the bean field i am hunting now was clover and sorgum. Could they be alternating beans wheat clover and hopefully corn year by year. Seems the clover fields are bean this year the corn fields are beans and the weed or wheat field from last year are corn.
Ofcourse the people at the office most of the time just say i do not know. theres someone planting a field out there
