Default SE Ohio rut

I've been spending quite a bit of time out in the woods and haven't seen much activity. Any Southeast Ohio hunters seeing any indication the rut has kicked off yet? I know it's a little early for the peak but it's about time for them to begin chasing.

I hunt five miles from Licking county in Delaware county and it has been slow at best. I did see a small 8 bumping a doe I think he was 2.5 years old. I think once this warm spell snaps and gets cold things will heat up.

I hunt in Tuscarawas county. They have definitely been scraping and working the scrapes but I haven't seen any chasing yet.

I know that some could care less about moon phases, but my experience has me putting some faith in it. Chasing should not really start until the 1st week in November based on moon theory and the 2ns full moon after fall begins which i November 2. Patience. I know we all want it to get here now, but we got to wait just another week.
