Default End of Bow Season

Well, just got in from the last hunt of my first Bow Season. Unfortunately, I did not get anything. For that matter, I didn't even see a deer the whole time. Time to back up and punt, and rethink some of my strategy. I'll get another chance as a WMA near me has a Bow only area during General Gun Season. I know that area a bit better as I used to ride dirt bikes there, and have seen deer!

Hunting is just on a break. General Gun comes in about a month. I've just been looking forward to trying the motorcycle area as they don't have an archery season in that WMA.

That sucks that you guys have a non hunting period that lasts that long before your general firearm season.

Here in Illinois, our deer season opens Oct 1st every season and stays open until sometime in mid-Jan! I still would like to see our season open sometime in September.

thats strange.. our major/popular seasons are back to back which makes it nice to stay in the groove and pattern the same animals you have been scouting and hunting in early season

we usually go bow-gun-late bow back to back..
