Default SE Pa rut sign

I'm starting to see scrapes appearing in my (semi new) area, as well as some brand new rubs! I have not hunted this spot yet this season. I wanted to keep this spot as quiet as I can, and only hunt it during the rut. Things "should" be getting started this week and next! I AM PUMPED!!!

Scrapes should be popping up all over. I saw my first about 4 weeks ago. Believe it or not.

Lets hope it heats up soon in PA. Things havent been good for me. Trying a new area this week.

Friend rattled in 2 bucks yesterday. Both came out into a open clover field and when they saw eachother locked horns. One was a decent 8 and the other was a big 6 that we have been watching. Friend said the 6 came in from a few hundred yards with his hair all standing up and side stepping as soon as he saw the other buck.

Yup, we're seeing signs of it here too.

hopefully there IS a rut this year lol...

im still waiting for last years!

last year i seen no activity what so ever..no seeking..no chasing..no breeding..nothing. and i hunted atleast 3 different counties off the top of my head...maybe 1-2 others..hunted dark to dark many days last season the last 3 weeks of the season..

had a few bucks follow drags..but other than that, thats the only thing i seen...i seen MANY lone does the last 2 weeks that never had a buck anywhere...
