Default I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it....

They are opening up a State Park by the river, for an archery, and black powder deer hunt. And it has NEVER been hunted.

Every once in a while I drive by on the interstate and see literally 100+ deer.

Honestly I'm slightly bummed that it is an antlerless hunt. It's also only during the week, which doesn't work well with the job schedule. But I'm going to apply for the special permit and try to be able to hunt 1 day.

Just curious where that's at? I remember drivin' on I-80 in south central NE somewhere (cant remember where now) but the deer numbers were disgustingly thick

Eugene T. Mahoney State Park between Lincoln, and Omaha. The field I've seen them in is the field south of the SAC museum Jet Sign.

They are taking applications, and limiting the number to 15-20 hunters. And they are assigning zones.
