Default Safety tip for LW Sit & Climb users

I have the extra long traction belts that I use for bigger trees (obviously) and on some of them I need to make adjustments on the way up. Sometimes both the seat and platform sections. These trees push the straps to their max length. What I did was tape a white marker (easily seen) on both belts at both ends that tells me when I'm at the VERY END of a safe lock in with my traction belts. I did this so I KNOW whats going on while climbing/adjusting in the dark. Having that strap out TOO far might get you something! I hope this might help make someones hunt a safer one.

The stand already has holes you can read the orange warning labels through.

Very tuff in the dark.

Sorry. I thought flashlights were std issue for bowhunters!

(Just kidding.....if it works for you.....have at it).

Does this mean you're hunting different trees, now?

No, they just grew a lot since last year. On a more serious note, this is just another area I hunt that has fatter trees than the place/tree you refer. I rarely use a light, but using one while climbing would be rather ridiculous.

I actually thought of doing that, because yes, it is very hard to see in the morning.

Hell I don't use one when I climb!...lol That IS ridiculous.

I used to not even use one going to stand. I began to realize about year 4 that I'm MUCH quieter when I use the light (going where I now go). I don't hesitate to use them coming and going (AM/PM).

It is a good tip, EI. Good luck this year.
