Default Boy's first bow kill (Graphic)

Well after 3 years chasing deer with a bow and a few close calls, my oldest boy finally connected with his bow.

He climbed into the stand Saturday evening about 4:30, not 5 mins after getting in the stand he sees a yearling feeding on acorns about 70 yards off. It took about 30 mins for the deer to close the distance, but finally it feed directly under his stand. He waited until he had a quartering away shot at 15 yards and smoked it and I do mean SMOKED it.

The entry wound photo is GRAPHIC, I have never seen a deer ripped open like this before, just amazing. The shot was perfect, entering just in front of the last rib on the right side and exited in the middle of the front legs, cutting all but one rib on the right side in half and destroying everything in the middle! The wild thing is that this deer still went almost 100 yards after the shot.

We got everything on video, which is pretty awesome. The best part is his pure emotion after the shot. I will post the video after we do some editing.

Doubt it. I'm betting a rage or other new mechanical.

Man them yearlings are tough as nails!

congrats on the kill!

I'm betting a fixed head too. I did something similar with a G5Striker. The angle is what causes wounds like that!
