Smile Nice Pa. Doe Down!!!

I went out this afternoon even though it was warm out. Didn't expect to see much until going towards dark but she came in with another doe around 4:45. I watched them both for about 5 mins. until a shot presented itself. She finally gave me an 18 yd. broadside shot. I settled the pin and squeezed the release. I hit her back about 4-5 farther back than I wanted to, I couldn't figure out why, then I realized I had canted my bow in order to shoot around a branch causing the slight right hit. It didn't matter though as I watched her run about 15 yds. then slowly walk to the edge of some brush where i saw her go down and thrash around a bit. It was all over in about 1-2 mins. Turns out I center punched her liver, almost cut it in half (Rage 2 Blade). This was my first Kill with my new Elite Gt500, nice way to break it in. Happy with my first deer of 09 and some meat for the freezer!
