I shot him Sept 16 on my evening hunt. It was the first time I was out this year, and didnt really expect to see much with the high Temps. I got to the stand at about 5:30 and got comfortable. Around 7:00 a lone doe walked by the tree up to the alfalfa, a few minutes later I received a voicemail, that I needed to return a call ASAP. So I snuck down, and began to sneak back towards my pickup. I was moving parallel to a standing bean field through some dead thistles; when I looked up and saw two shooters making there way down the trail towards me. I drew back and anchored my 30 yard pin behind the shoulder and let it fly. He ran 40 yards before piling up.

Nice buck and a cool story--that scenario may never happen to you again....you look angry in your pic, like you just killed that buck with your bare hands!
