i have a leafy suit and i love it. i was just doing some stalking last year for the fun of it and stalked without 10 yards of a doe and then sat in the middle of the field beside a little scrub bush and had a little 4 point buck walk less then 5 yards from me, and never payed a bit of attention.

I have never tried shooting my bow with one on(i dont want to try either). But they are money on turkeys, I have had them at 3 feet.

I've used ghillie suits but they didn't seem to hide me from deer any better than the leafy suits. No other critters seemed to notice me when I wore it, but deer still knew something was up. Must have been the smell. It was very hard to hear anything with the hood on. Plus, all the dangly bits got caught on everything in the woods. Leafy suits seem to do just fine for me.

This year Im going leafy. I had awesome success in turkey season, and literally look like a bush if you stay still on the ground and simulate one. As far as bowseason I plan on using an arm sock so I wont stand a chance at it getting in my way at the shot.

Even with a leafy, or Ghillie.....scent is IMPORTANT. Those deer wouldnt have gotten within 75 yrds if the wind and scent werent right!

Dont let it make you over confident. I have seen some ghillies that look better for the special forces, and not hunting. Poor visibility, especially to see a .19 pin and will actually make a bit of noise when you arent careful.

Preference is with leafy and a sock on the bow arm!

you have to trim where the string is but they can really hide you good in the brush
here is a buddy of mine except he has a gun not a bow
