Default Duck camo for deer hunting?

I bought a nice duck hunting parka last year and was wondering if you think it would work for tree stand hunting. It's Max-4 pattern, or if I should really spend the money on a parka that's in AP? I'm in college and COULD afford it if I had to, but like most people would rather not if it really doesn't matter...any thoughts?

It will work, the problem you run into with most waterfowl stuff is it isn't exactly quiet! BUt i have killed deer in my waterfowl gear before, so it works.
Take a loook at Ultimate camo. Great prices and cool cool stuff!

Use whatever camo works best for you in your area and remember to look at it from a deers point of view. If you have a hunting partner have them walk toward you in the direction the deer are coming from and then see what it looks like.

I use my Drake 4in1 every year when it gets cold. Camo is break up. No matter what camo etc. I killed 2 deer last november in that jacket. There were no leaves on the trees either. They didnt seem to care as to why I didnt have a typical winter camo on

The Drake is made with a very quiet material as well as super warm.

When it comes to camo I dont think pattern makes a bit of difference at all. All the camo is designed to is conceal your movement a little more. Ive hunted with just a pair of blue jeans and a long sleeve black shirt. Never once had a deer look at me....

Folks put way to much importance on camo/matching the area.I've had my closest encounters with deer wearing red wool plaid top/bottom.I've nothing against camo and certainly have my share but I've yet to see any difference as far as effectiveness goes from one pattern to another.

The deer could care less what camo pattern is helping you blend in and break up!!!! You could be out there in Max 4-d Clown Suit and as long as your still, have as little scent as possible and you blend in your fine!! I have friends that have this 'Gotta have it' attitude when it comes to the new line of patterns that come out. And don't get me wrong it is nice to have a great set of hunting clothes and gear, I'm a fan myself, but is it a Must Have?? Heck No!! I wore BDU military clothes growing up as a kid and killed a ton of deer because luckily I was blessed with a great dad ( my best hunting partner in the world) that taught me how to make what you got work!! Just my two cents... of the soap box now

I know pattern doesn't matter if it helps you blend in, I guess my concern is that Max4 won't blend in very well with a tree trunk...I picked up a relatively cheap 3d leaf cover suit big enough that I can just put a bunch of warm clothes under it and that should work just fine.
