I tried them out today. I was pretty impressed. Good arrow flight and accurate but it did seem like they whistle a little bit to me compared to my vanes.
I field tested them when they first came out, they weren't for me. I really can't see any advantage of using them. I have no problem fletching my arrows been doing it since 1966.
I've talked to some that love em, and I guess that's all that matters.

They were flying great but so were my regular arrows. The only thing I thought was neat is you dont have to spend your time fletching your arrows but I kind of enjoy it.
I doubt I will use them anymore.
I shot 3 arrows (not the fobs) right before I left and all 3 were in the kill at 65 yds. I figured that was good enough! LOL!
A buddy of mine was very excited about his FOB's until he shot with broadheads. He is shooting 12 in low at 40 yards. Tried an arrow with blazers and hit right on the money.
Most people that try them and decide against them do so because they have to change their anchor point so the FOB doesn't hit their face.
The real advantage of a FOB doesn't show until around 35+ yards and a strong crosswind. FOBs don't drift as much in a crosswind.
They are also field repairable. Say your shooting 3D and a bud cuts a vane. The arrow is done until you get back to a shop and have it refletched. FOBs can be removed and replaced in seconds.
They are durable but not indestructible.
If you are having flight issues with FOBs it is due to contact issues.
BTW I don't use FOBs. I have 36 of them but the Tribute has been retired. I was in the process of setting it up for FOBs.

Not a big fan... when you shoot a pass thru with a deer, the FOB pops off like its suppose to. It is very hard to find an arrow after the FOB is off. I lost 3 arrows last year using them and will not ever use them again!
