Default Quick Food Plot Question

This coming weekend i'm planning on planting Biologic Green Patch Plus on about a 1/3 of an acre. I haven't had very good success with food plots in the past and I believe it's because i've ignored putting on fertilizer. What type of fertilizer would you guys recommend and how much. Also do I put the fertilizer on before, during, or after planting?

Thanks guys.

i just use a light application of 12-12-12 once it starts growning. but i have a very small area with very little ligth and alot of moisture so i dont have to worry about mine alot.
