New Greenwood, Indiana Cabela's Nixed
Cabela's was to build a new store along I65 in Greenwood (immediately south of Indianapolis) but they put it on hold when the economy really started to tank. They officially pulled the plug on this store last week. It would have been directly across the interstate from Gander Mountain and about six miles from my house. Gander Mountain freaked out when Cabela's bought the land to build the store. It would have been just a few miles from my house. Greenwood city officials are now wooing Bass Pro Shop for a store on the site. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
