Arrow rest advise

I got me first bow a few months ago and mounted an Octane Hostage Pro rest on my Diamond Iceman. After only about 100 shots I noticed my brushes are wearing out fast. I've noticed many forums lately about others having the same problem and having to continually change the brushes and re-sight the bow. I'm thinking about cutting my loses and changing out the Hostage Pro rest and going with a drop-away. Any suggestions on what type?

Look into a Vaportrail Limbdriver. One of the best drop aways out there.

The pro wears out just as fast. I tried both Hostages. If you want a shoot-thru then get a whisker biscuit.

If you want a fall away then I suggest a Trophy Taker or a QAD (HD version). The Limbdriver rest arm is very wide/flat and will not reach the full down position on the curved riser shelf of the Bowtech's/Elite's/Diamond's.

I recently got the regular QAD and I like it a lot. I am sure the HD is better, but it also costs $70 more.

Get a limbdriver. The best fall away out there IMO.

I just put the NAP Sizzor on my Guardian and it has been awesome. I was a little skeptical about it at first, but for me it has been great because I can be in the tree stand or on the ground and don't have to worry about my arrow jiggling around or falling off. You might check it out if you want something that has similar qualities as a full containment but is still a drop away.

Obviously I haven't used it for hunting deer here in Kansas yet but when I'm out in the woods it has been reliable.

It depends how much you want to pay for your drop away.. I recently put on a Trophy Ridge drop away and love it.. I put on the " Drop Shot " and it's fast and very quite. i put it on a Bow-Tech and only needed minor adjusting..

I have too seen the octane's wear out quick. Do yourself a favor and buy a Whisker Biscuit. I have well over 2000 shots through mine! I shoot blazer vanes and carbon express arrows.

On a side note, make sure that your bow is set up correctly

The Limbdriver is by far the best I've used.
