I had the 08 brute and i loved it the only thing i didnt like was the weight..............But the 09 version is much much lighter. I would change the string its not very good for a stock string..........I now have the Bow Madness XS wow bad A@# bow. But the brute is a great bow last year i had a pass thru on a doe at 45yrd.

Really cus the

Stinger NI .......IBO Speed: 304-296
Brute LT...........IBO Speed: 308-300

Is your brother using a heavier grain arrow or broadhead cuz the brute shoud be faster by what PSE says. I was getting 287 out of mine last year with arrows at 357g. Not sure your brother is getting everything out of his bow...not a pro mind you

Check into the martin bengal and the moab, better bow for the same $$$$$.

I shot the brute a ton, not a bad bow at all, pretty good really. I felt the martin was a better shooter. You get a bow that could sell for 600-700 dollars easily with the martin bengal and or moab. Better finish and strings, more quality componets etc.

good luck
