Default String help

Bucknasty, Vapor Trail, Zebra or Winner's Choice? I shoot a Mission X-4 and am ready to upgrade from the factory string.

Of the ones you mention I would choose Bucknasty. I have used Winner's Choice and Bucknasty strings are actually a little better in quality, but at less cost. Next choice would be Vapor Trail and then Winner Choice.

I would not touch Zebra strings even with your bow and checkbook. They are a waste of good hard earned money. In fact they very well might be a step down in quality compared to what you're using now. The Mission and Zebra are made by the same company. Your bow deserves better.

On this site the guy uses the name Gibblet. Try searching the Members List at the top of the page.

On Archery Talk he's Bucknasty.

I wouldn't recommend Zebra strings. The serving started tearing up on the Zebra string that I have on my backup bow two weeks after I had them installed.
