I would def recommend the whisker biscuit for your rest. I like a one pin sight for simplicity

I prefer a whisker biscut with a tru -glow sight I like the tru -glow because it glows better in low light situations and it is the best sight for the $.

The simplicity of the biscuit rest is hard to beat, as forsights I have Extreme rests on both my bows.

for starting out your best bet is the whisker biscuit. full containment. which mean the arrow cant fall off. and easy to sight.
sight= starting out i would go with a truglo. not expensive but still gets the job done

I have a Whisker Biscuit and a Sword sight on my bow, and am very happy with both.

In my opinion I would just get a drop away rest, like a QAD ultra or a Vapor Trail Limb Driver which is what I use and love it. While the whisker biscuit is a good rest for a beginner it has its downsides. For example, if its colder out and its rain/snow mix the rest has a good chance of freezing up, I have friends this has happened to. Also, I just don't feel comfortable with something touching my arrow on release, which is why I prefer the drop away rests. By all means go with what you think is best. Sight wise, it just depends on far out you want to shoot I suppose. I have a 3-pin cobra sight that is set at 10,20, and 30 yards, and I like it. But that is just my 2 cents.

I just changed my whisker biscuit to a new rest called the Tri-van rest, that I really like.
It has 3 sets of bristles that contain the arrow but slide back into the rest once you shoot, like a drop away.
Not sure if I can put the web address on here or not but you can Google it.
