Default Had a really cool experience this morning

I was out checking cameras this morning. As I approached a soybean field I saw a nice 6 point about 60 yards out feeding. I slowly put my camera and cable lock down. I slowly and cautiously decided to circle to the left to see if I can get a better view of him. He was facing away from me and the wind was in our faces. I was able to sneak about 30 yards to the left and watch him from there. I thought he spotted me, but was suprised when he turned and started heading towards the wood line. He entered right where I was originally standing and he was sniffing the camera and lock. I was out to the field and got about 10 yards behind him, but then he smelled me, looked up and ran off. It was an awesome morning and now I can't wait for the season!!

Sounds like a fun morning to me. I haven't really had a good opportunity to do any scouting yet unfortunately.

It's fun to see how close you can sneek up on them. Hope you have that much luck sneeking up on them when the season arrives.

Different people have different ideas of fun, now that sounds like fun to me.

I was hoping he wouldn't trip over my steel security and make a big clanking noise through the woods.
