OK, so it's not a new bow, I admit it I swap my bow for a rifle when firearms season opens, but it is for deer hunting none the less. She sure is pretty though, all stainless steel and walnut. What do you all think, should the optics and mounts be blued or silver?

Nice rifle, I would go with all stainless scope and a tip-off mount with that rifle. The tip-off will allow you to shoot open sight at your normall shooting range while the scope will allow you to shoot a little farther out with it. Also with the tip-off you can tip the scope out of the way if shooting at a running deer. It is really hard to get a scope on a running deer. Good luck with what you decide to do.
That's a nice looking Lever Action, is it a 30-30 or some other odd-ball cartridge???
It's a 30-30, the new Hornady Leverrevolution ammo is what I'm going to use, a pointed boattail bullet travelling an extra 200fps over the old blunt nose bullets put the 30-30 into a whole new catagory.

The tip-off ( in stainless) would be my suggetstion too if you really want a scope. Just have to make sure you re-seat it completely any time you flip it over - one of my hunting buddies could tell you what happens if you don't[:@]
