Lets hear of your hunting trips or plans for the fall

Thought this would be a good start to talk about the upcoming hunting season. Just want to see what everyone's plans are for trips or vacations during the 09 Season.

For me, I drew a Archery Elk tag in New Mexico which really has me pumped. You all know who elk hunting gets me excited

...will be hunting PA & NY and Illinois during the first week of November is in the works and being finalized with the next few days.

So, what are your plans ???

PS. I am going to miss NOT going to Colorado

The Economy is definitely affecting a lot of guys plans. I will hunt my home state of IL hard for 2 to 3 weeks during the rut.

I am also hoping to head to NE for a little Mule Deer hunting again in late Oct., early Nov. I might even make a late season trip to NEagain this year in Dec.

Of course plans are to Turkey hunt KS next spring again as that was the most awesome Turkey area I have ever hunted.

Starting the 1st of July I will be chasing hogs here in California every weekend...
Bear and Deer season start for archery August 23rd...then I will jump to that when the time comes...
Then turkeys in November....and then back to deer and bear if my tags have not been filled...til December 23rd.

January comes a OTC Muley hunt in Arizona (archery only)

Actually out west you can stay busy hunting

Going to to New Brunswick for deer w/ the rifle in mid November.
Will be hunting Western NY for whitetail w/ bow in late November.
Will be hunting Wetern MA, Northern CT, & Eastern NY hard w/ the bow the rest of the time.

I'm taking nine days off to hunt Oklahoma with Rloving. That is our yearly trip we take every year. Then of course I'll hunt Texas on weekends.

This year looks like I will be staying close to home. If I do leave MO it will be to go to Ohio sinceI already have my Non-res hunting license from going this spring for Turkey season.

Elk in Colorado, gonna head into the West Elk Wilderness, and hope to arrow an elk, any elk, though I'd be extremely pleased with a bull, pretty much any elk will do. And if it's a bull, he's gotta be at least a 4x4, because of antler point restrictions, so that narrow down the "any elk" part.

The season starts here in NJ in early Sept. Ill be chasing whitetails here. Sept 25th till the end of the month ill be chasing after my first Mule deer. Im really looking forward to that. October and November will have me chasing whitetails in Jersey along with some weekend trips to Maryland. Then i will make a couple long weekend trips in November and December out to a buddies place in Kansas to chase after some world class whitetails. Ill be busy and cant wait.
