Default recurve or compound

With the money I got I can either get an awesome recurve or a used compound.

I would have worded that the other way, but good luck in your decision!

Lol Jeff!! With the price of some of these traditional bows you could spend more on one of them then a compound.

You really have to ask yourself, which do you favor when hunting or target shooting?

I hunted with a recurve for years and enjoyed it immensely. Today I prefer to pack a compound.

It's all fun! and it's Bowhunting! It just depends on personal preference, your goals, as well as the time you have to put in on practice.

You owe it to the game you hunt to be profecient with whatever equipment you choose.

I think you also have to weigh the amount of effort you want to put into it. Few will argue that you can become "deadly" with a compound faster than with a recurve, and also, with a recurve it REALLY helps if you have someone that you can go to for some coaching/advice. The 'curve is a hell of a lot of fun, but so is the compound. Tough call brother.

Do you already have a bow?
What kind?
Get the one you don't have.
Problem solved.
