Default disappointed hunt last night

Well as some of you know I'm doing a DIY black bear hunt in MB. I have a few baits that are very active and went out last night to hunt. I got in stand at 6pm.... then drew my bow back to stretch out a bit. Its the norm for me to do this. Well the chord on my QAD Ultra rest snapped[:@]. I tried to fix it in stand but couldn't. So I just sat there for 5hrs without any way of shooting if a bear did come in.
I'm still going to stick with the rest because I like it. BUT I'm going to check that chord alot more frequently for any signs of wear. I would think the wear in this case would have been inside the wheel of the rest anyhow and wouldn't have been seen externally.

Not last night.... but I do have 3 sows coming in almost nightly to the bait. 2 are dry and one has a cub that is the size of a house cat.... maybe a little wider. I'm waiting on one of those sows to come into heat sow I can smack a boar. If not I will hunt the fall season.

At least you didn't have a shot oppourtunity. That would have sucked to have a P&Y bear at 15 yrds.

Heck why didn't I do that earlier? Some people might feel bad for sitting on a 5oolbs bird feeder but I found it fun. That chord was how old. I'm not even sure. I bought the rest used! Its know ones fault but my own. And I'm not about to walk back out to my vehicle to drive home because i was hunting with another guy. He was still in the game in my eyes. I had to wait for him. Why ruin his hunt b/c I couldn't?
You'll get to know that about me. Its all about the hunt. AND by the way...... I'm sticken to my QAD

I love my QAD too... I would not switch either for something I overlooked, like you said... Love that rest...
