I was up in the mountains of Carbon County, Pa last week and came upon this structure. It's along a stream roughly 3/4 of a mile upstream from where it flows into the Lehigh River. This thing is up in some rough country, far from anything. It's built bunker strong and has an old iron door still hanging. Any ideas on what this might have been used for?

That is very creepy looking. Did you take a look inside of it? Maybe it is for mining or some type of old army bunker or an old bomb/ chemical shelter from like the 40's.
Its on the property ownd by the Trojan powder company. I was told they madedynamite up there at the turn of the century. You said it looked bunker strong, maybe they stored explosives in it.
