Here in PA the law states that you must have at least 35 pounds of draw weight. I'd like to see that number up to 45 personally. Shot placement is ALWAYS key though.

Well it won't drop them unless you spine em, haha, But 35-40 is plenty for making a clean kill on whitetails. My brother shot his first deer with the bow with a 35lb and had a complete pass thru at 18 yards, deer went 50 yards, and my gf shot her first deer this last year with 38lbs at 16 yards, no pas thru hitting of shoulder but the huge doe only went 80 yards. Low poundage just has distance limitations thats all, under 30 yards is perfect. WCL
