"The show 20/20 tonight seemed to really support hunting and other similar uses for threatened species, and put the anti-hunting groups in their place! They talked about how allowing hunting and photo safaris in various countries in Africa have brought back Rhinos, Elephants and many other species because it gave the natives and local governments a financially vested interest in protecting them, rather than the natives and government being part of the poaching problems because the wildlife had not other value to them. They outright told the anti-hunting representative that their methods of protection and bans just flat don't work and that hunting or farming for these species has been very successful in saving species and increasing populations!! It is spot on and it was very nice to see the normally liberal media looking at something rationally and responsibly!
