My buddy wants a cheap beginner bow, and I saw an '06 PSE Bruin (29/70)rigged out (modestly) with a string/cable that is in good shape. Is $140 tydtoo much for this?
It's what I shoot and I love it. I have killed two with it. It's super quiet. It's no Hoyt alpha amx or Mathews Reezen but it's a killer. Great beginner's bow. I'm 6' 3" and 325lbs so it looks like a kid's bow in my hands. I've got a Bucknasty string that'll be here next week. I can't wait to thump that new string!

there ya go! You don't need the latest and greatest to have a blast! Archery is by far the most enjoyable form of hunting there is. Not to mention the easiest to practice all year. I love shooting my bow!
