Default Doubling up on turkeys in Kansas with pics!

Well I had a thread on here earlier about trying my luck with a bow this year turkey hunting. I did try hunting for the first week of season using a bow with the guillotine trying to kill myself a turkey but all I accomplished was slicing my finger while shooting at a turkey with the guillotine....I guess my finger wasnt quite out of the way .

My friend on the right in the picture has done some hunting with me and also did some taping of our hunts. We decided to go out together one evening using shotguns and we got set up using a hen and a pretty boy tom decoy. We hadn't done much calling and finally after an hour or so heard 2 gobbles along ways away. After hearing the gobbles we answered back with a couple yelps and in less than a couple of minutes these two toms were on a full run along the edge of the field heading straight for our pretty boy decoy! Once both toms turned away we picked up our guns and I counted to 3 and we let em have it. It was a fantastic hunt and felt great to go out together and both bag a tom on the same hunt. Were both in the same class and are currently seniors in high school. So we were just getting some hunting done before we graduate and go off to college next year. My bird on the left had an 11in beard and my friend on the right his tom had about a 10in beard. We didn't get a measurement on the spurs or a weight on the birds.

Thanks!
Kash Brown

Man that is awesome, sounds like a really fun hunt.. Both very nice, but I'd have to say the one on the left looks bigger..
congrats.

Ya the one on the left was a more mature bird and had an inch longer beard....my friends on the right had the 10in beard.

But yep thanks!....it was really fun.
