Default Help! Switching out bow limbs/

I have a Mathews LX 60 lb bow and am buying a pair of 70 lb limbs, same draw length. I plan to buy new strings and have the dealer change them over. Is this an easy thing to have done?

If you had a press or the use of one--you could do it yourself.

It's fairly easy. I would be prepared to pay a small fee, if you had not bought the bow from that particular dealer though.

Your best bet would be to let your dealer switch out the limbs. Perhaps he would let you watch and even help on the task.

Is 60 lbs not enough weight?
What are you shooting?

Actually it used to be my bow but sold it to my daughters boyfriend... a 20 yr old so he wants to change the limbs. These young pups can pull that stuff... not me.

There are a set of LX limbs on ebay that will probably go for $50 plus shipping. My understanding is if you access to a press it is just your time. OR you can pay some one an hr rate and they can change it over for you in about 30 min. So I'd say for about $100 you could swap.
