Hey guys, Just got my mount finished. I'm pleased with how it turned out. I nicknamed him "Prince" because I think I need one a tad bigger before I can call it "King"
The whitetail is my archery kill from this past season. The Mule deer is a rifle kill from when I was 13. The bear is my father's. And the Goose is a Quil's lake goose or something...He has the white breast which is specific to the Quil's lake area.
I shot the whitetail in Central Nebraska. He officially grossed 165 and netted 158 5/8. I shot the Mulie in central Nebraska as well(Custer County). He grossed 163 and netted 157. I was pretty happy with him. I have trail cam pics of him from 2 seasons ago, and saw him the season before that. So it was kinda special being able to take him after putting a lot of hard work into scouting and hours on stand. Funniest thing was that the first encounter I had with him he was laying under my stand when I was walking in at 4:00 in the afternoon. He lazily stood up and walked away from me into the corn at 60 yards. But I got the last laugh!
