Default help needed from the forum

I was doing some turkey hunting/shed hunting this weekend and I crossed a creek thqt came halfway up my boots. I felt my foot get cold but thought nothing of it. I get back to the truck and change shoes and my right foot is soaked. I have always been a rocky boot guy but I decided to go the rubber boot route for scent control. They are Lacrosse alpha lite 7.0 and they are a little over a year old. I actually think they are the most comfortable boot I have owned but I am pissed about the water leaking through. I was at the Georgia buckarama to buy some new rocky snake boots when the lacrosse rep cut me a deal and told me I would never buy another pair of rocky's again. They are leaking fron the front where the camo color meets the black part...mainly where the boot bends when I walk. Do you guys think I have a complaint or is it simply "time" for the boot to wear out. I hunt alot but I am by no means that hard on the boots. They are alos starting to fall apart on the bottom and the treads are still very good. I want to e-mail them but I will not bother if you rubber boot vetrans tell me otherwise.

Cabelas Tracker Dry Plus for me. They're only like 80 bucks, comfy, dry, warm, and REALLY durable. I've had mine for going on four years and they still are like new. I wear them everytime I'm in the woods weather it's shed hunting, squirrel hunting, deer hunting, or just walking. They've NEVER leaked once while walking through creeks. Gotta admit, they're a HELL of a deal.

I paid $125 for a pair of Lacrosse boots. They leaked before the end ofone season from cracking. If water is getting in, then scent is getting out. Cabela's and Lacrosse were both unhelpful. Lacrosse said that I could ship the boots backfor a factory evalwith a letter of explanation. But, they said that it was highly unlikely they would be warrantied and they would not be willing to ship the boots back.

Maybe someone from Lacrosse is a member here because I would like to hear their rationale for expensive boots that leak.

I've had no problems with my Lacrosse Alpha Burly's. I bought them around October of '08 and wore them nearly every day of the season. No leaks. I was walking in a creek just this past weekend scouting for turkeys and my feet stayed dry as a bone.

I think the proper action when you have a problem is to contact the manufacturer and let them make it right.

I personally have had Great Luck with both Rocky and LaCrosse boots.

IMHO they are both top notch.

I had a pair of just the plain 'ole green lacross boot from the late 90's. I wore them for 5 years before they ever got a leak. As a matter of fact, I wore the tread of of them and that is wear the hole came from. With that being said, the last pair of Lacross boots I bought lasted a whole season and a half and the left boot started leaking.

LACROSS MUST BE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THERE BOOTS MY BROTHER BOUGHT A PAIR LAST YEAR THAT HAD A BLACK LIKE GUARH ON THE BOOT AND THEY LEAKED ALSO. HE TOOK THEM BACK TO THE LOCAL STORE WHERE HE BOUGHT THEM AND THEY REFUNED HIS MONEY. THE BEST BOOT I HAVE FOUND ARE THE BASS PRO BONE DRY BOOTS. I HAVENON-INSULATED THAT I PAID LIKE $ 55.00 FOR AND A PAIR WITH 1000 GRAMS OF INSULATION THAT I ONLY PAID LIKE $ 75.00 FOR. BOTH KEEP MY FEET DRY.

Every company will eventually have issues with their products. The dissappointment (for me) was Lacrosse's lack of backing for their product. I will be buying one of the other company's products next time.
