Default 08 82nd Airborne guys/roller guide fix

Most of us removed the upper string stopper from Bowtechs' brain fart of the poor idea to put a string stopper on the end of the roller guide. This left an ugly hole to look at and an unclean look. Bowtech refused to sell us 09 roller guides as they and everyone knows that the only difference between the 08 and 09 was they ditched this dumb string stopper and put one down low where everybody puts them. Well, I couldn't stand that hole any more, so I hack sawed it off, grinded it, shaped it, sanded it, and painted it today. I also painted my camo P.O.S. brand string stopper black to match it. Much better imo.

That looks really good! You did a great job on it.

I think I would be too afraid to take to mine with a hacksaw![&:]

lol...easy...took me a whole half an hour to complete and get ready for paint. Just remove the rollers, hacksaw, grind/shape, sand, paint, reinstall.

I'm impressed.

I'm currently shooting it with both stops, the upper Bowtech and a lower MeanV. I don't know why, the MeanV is all it needs.

Hardcore, that looks great! I have a 101st on the way and I have been giving this very same thing some thought. Good job.

Here are some..but none of the end facing the shooter..there is also a hole that is smaller than a pencil that used to house the factory string stopper. Some people had issues with the factory string stopper blocking their site pic, throwing brass nocks off of their string, and turning their D loops.
