Default Winter Kill

My fellow shed hunters,

Are many of you finding dead bucks?

I have a friend who has found 4 dead bucks this year along with a pair of lock-ups which would explain their death. I myself have found 1 dead buck carcass and have only been shed hunting twice. All of these still have nearly all of the hair on them so I am quite certain they are from this winter.

Here in Kansas, we had several days of very cold temps along with a covering of snow and ice. I believe we have had a high mortality rate and/or "winter kill".

I am just curious if many of you are also finding dead buck carcasses.

Thank you for your input, Z
