well on wensday i saw a 3 bucks(nice10, young8, and a fork) following three does out of a bean field across my hay field. then on thursday evenning i see thesame three bucks chasing/following 1 doe the opposite way. is it possible that she was in heat. i mean how reasonable of an idea is that. also this is in southern ohio and we have hadour fairfair share of cold weather this year. wadda ya guys think?

Well I suppose anything is possible. Though I would be really surprised if that was the case. Winter isn't really a good time for mating, as the energy required for mating are required to keep warm. But again, I suppose anything is possible.
Anything is possible, she might have just ran around those bucks and never let them breed her and now they can still let she is in heat. But after a while don't deer go out of heat if they don't get bred?

Yes, they do but if they are not bred will come back in heat approx. a month later.
I saw a doe standing for a buck on Feb 14th one year (ironically, LOL). Out in the middle of a field, at least 500yds from any cover, in the middle of the day.If the does don't get bred the first few times, they can continue to come in. Also, often times lated in the year you have some of last years fawns going into heat too.
I'd say that there is probably less chance of seeing 3 bucks together that all have thier horns this late in the year than a doe in heat. At least you know you have some decent bucks in the area that made it!
