Default Elk Hunters, what states for 2009 ??

Well, hard to believe but its time to start applying in those hard-to-draw a tag states. Just wondered what everyone is doing for 2009.

The deadline for Wyoming is January 31st and with the amount of points I have looks like I will be the owner of a Unit 16 tag !!!

Deadline for Arizona is February 10th, but with only 3 points, I am still applying Unit 9 & 10...low odds, but probably last year for Unit 10 to be a good unit since they issued alot more gun tags. Wish I could get into New Mexico, but that is always a mystery till June 18th this year[:@]

So, what are you elk hunting plans and if applying, which states ??

What unit are you trying in the draw ? In the meantime, hunting any other states until you hit it big for Arizona ??

Anywhere in the west in September is rewarding.......as you know, I have spent a few years hunting Colorado. Even with the high degree of drawing Wyoming (won't know for sure until its in my hand) I am having withdraws already knowing that it will be another year till my boots hit Colorado soil..

Hope it works out so you can go
