Default Is your hunting bow 5 yrs old or older?

My bow is a 2004 with freedom cams, really smooth, easy draw even after sitting 3 hrs in cold weather. I look at the new bows every year
and even shoot a few[ some really nice ones out there] there not as smooth a draw as mine though.I still have the same everything on it
as I did when I put it together[ boring] but it puts deer down, kind of like a old broke in pair of gloves comfy. Why do you still shoot your older bow?
I'm going to switch out my axis arrows for some Victory arrows by next season though .......pretty excited abought that

My bow is about 15 years old, I shoot fingers and there are only a few finger bows left on the market...
That's fine, I'm saving money...

This last hunting season was 13 years In a row with my same recurve. It might get retired though being I've got some limb trouble. We'll see If I can fix it, If not It was a good run!

My bow is a Hoyt Oasis. It is eleven years old and is a sweet shooter. I have always preferred longer bows, so as time goes on, it gets harder to find the longer ones. I must admit that when the time comes for a new bow, I will look closely at the Bowtechs. I don't have my brother-in-law beat on bow longevity though, he shoots a Hoyt Spectra Eclipse that he bought in 1990. one of the limbs cracked a few years ago and he called Hoyt about a new set of limbs. They could send him different limbs to fit the bow but the finish wasn't the same as he had. About the same time, I was in a pawn shop and saw a bow like his, only it was right-handed, he is left-handed. I bought it and he just flip-flopped the limbs and he was back in business. How's that for longevity?

Blessings.....Pastorjim

Shot a '96 Mathews Z-Light up until this last May. Still draws and shoots great. Just wanted to try something different. Still shoot the Mathews too.
