Default Tell me about York bows

My youngest son has been looking for a youth bow, he found a youth York bow. I haven't seen it yet, but saw a pic of it. I'm thinking its at least 15 years old, I don't remember seeing a York compound in a long time. Anything to watch for ie: limbs, etc?

Default RE: Tell me about York bows

I started out on a york. It was a white/grey pro classic. It was about 2 in. to long in DL, had about 60percent letoffand was a50-60 lb bow. I shot the absolute heck out of it and shot a few turkeys with it.That was quite a few years ago but from what I can remember it was an aluminum riser w/fiberglass limb, steel cables and was loud. But I am sure that in its time it was as good as the technology was.
