Default Anybody as bad as me?

Is Bowhunting your passion as bad as me? Here's what I bought 4 my "passion" in the last 30 days.

1.An '08 82nd Airborne Bowin mint condition on sale on AT

2.A P.O.S stabilizer for it on sale on AT

3.an Extreme stab for it

4. an Alpine Bear Claw Quiver for it

5. A HHA slider sight for it

6. A used, mint condition Short n-Sweet release for a backup on AT

7. A broad head scale on AT on sale

8. A Fleece predator coat on sale on AT

9. A Lone Wolf Hand climber $100 off reg price at Reeds Sporting goods in MN

10. An '06 Elite E-500 brand new bow ,basically for free as long as I bought the $300 worth of accessories on it, at a dealer that hadn't sold it. Elites best bow as to date, in many Elite owners minds.

11. A Rancho Safari Cat Quiver VI 4 sale on AT

12. A Predator deception green Rocky Mountain Coyote fanny pack

Default RE: Anybody as bad as me?

Im saving money on gear to take trips as of late. Have several deer hunts lined up for the next few years all across the USA for all 5 species, DIY archery style. Hope to head north and hunt bear with a friend eventually. Entering my 2nd or 3rd year of the GA Gator draw tag system.Usuallyturkey hunt 2-3 states a spring, looking to do the slam within 6 years. And for the ultimate trip.....I am currently researching a 2-3 week excursion in New Zealand sightseeing and bowhunting in May 2011, the year I complete my undergrad studies. Hopefully sooner, but most likely in 2011. I already have the money saved back for this one and won't touch it...this is a huge dream of mine and I would give up anything else on this list before this to pull this one off. I have the money for the NZ trip, just a matter of getting all the details in line and planning it out. As for the other trips, I just plan on working my ass off to save up for them.

Due to money, all trips will be DIY. I will go for broke, and exhaust every last resource to pull these off. Should be exciting. Gear wise, only neccessities and strong wants will make their way into my possession now....just a matter of prioritizing your wants, and i want to travel to hunt far more than have extra gadgets for here at home.

But YES, bowhunting is far and away my favorite thing...I think of it nonstop. My dreams, goals, plans, everything revolves around my passion for hunting. I love every aspect of it.

Awesome. Keep your eyes on it and you will have a lifetime of memories from these adventures. Do it while you are young and not tied down.

Bowhunting has been my Passion since back in the 60's I've seen a lot come and go.

I hunt different than I used to. I am just as serious, more successful, but I don't waste as much energy as I once did

Don, you have been investing in this wonderful sport of ours as of lately, you do have it bad, although buying new archery gear is so much funlol. That Elite bow you picked up was a steal, great bow!

I have the passion but lack the funding for my bowhunting wishes. Too many projects I need to spend money on at home, always it seems. Trying to balance what I need to do for the family and my own self, well the pendelum always swings in the family's favor. I am comfortable bowhunting for whitetail here at home, but vow to return to Colorado or elsewhere for another elk hunt before I get too old, maybe a bear hunt as well.

As for buying some new stuff....I have a short list of needs/wants and have the money put back, but I am waiting on this damn economy. Even with the steady job I have I am not taking any chances at this time. Beyond that, I think about bowhunting a lot, more than my wife cares for.

My passion for bow hunting Is huge but you wouldn't know It or think so by the little money I do spend on It. Trail cams are about the only thing that I've gone a little crazy on the last 2 years- 1300.00 dollars worth In trail cams and accessories for my trail cams. Other then them, arrows and targets here and there.

Best of luck with all the new stuff Don!! That's a heck of a list!!

All on sale and cheap Steve. I traded an 06 Tribute straight across for the 82nd. I can't afford trail cams and own none.[&o] I am going to have to get in the milk hauling business so I can
