Default shed?

when a deer looses his horns is there going to be a hole in the top of his all the rest of the year or what happens...

There was a buck coming to my dads house right around xmas.

They come up about 5 feet away from the house (he has a chair in a bay window, so you can sit there and have the deer right up close and personal, they clean out his birdfeeders)

Anyways, one day he had antlers, the next he had a couple raw looking spots on his head and on the third day you couldn't tell there were antlers there just a few days ago.

That what you wanted to know?
