Default ATA Show...no pics this year?

I just read over on AT that the ATA show will not allow anyone to take pictures of new products this year. That is a real shame. I always looked forward to seeing the new stuff that is coming out. Most manufacturers don't update their web sites until well after the ATA.

Why in the world would they impose such a rule?

Haven't they always said "No pictures"? But people do anyway?

Could be wrong.

I'm not sure to be honest. I read on AT that you have to ask permission to get a camera in the place this year.

MONEY,they want the shop owners there and not looking on the net for the new offerings. They are charging a fortune and many shops and manufactuers just aren't participating.

I think the big thing is all the "spectators" getting out of hand with the celebrity photos or being pushy about it.
