Well I went out this past Saturday night to sit for the last time this year. Our bow season ended on Jan. 4 here in Wisconsin. I got out to the stand about 2:30 and about 5-10 minutes later I had deer coming in. I was after a big doe or big buck. Saw 5 that night as 3 were fawns, a 5 pointer, and a 4 pointer.
It was just nice to be out there and enjoy nature as I watched the deer eat some of the corn I put out and I had some red cardinals come in too. They were bright red with the snow on the ground.
It was a good end to 2008 bow season even though I didn't get my big buck I was after. I ended up shooting 2 nice does. I have some dandy's on camera for next year though.
Here are some pics from Saturday night. Sorry if the quality isn't the best as they are from my cell phone.
