I copied this off AT, but this guy has quite a story....LOL. This could happen to any of us and we might as well make a funny story out of it!!!!
I feel your pain, here's my story. I shot in my house once and that was it. I was living in military housing (a duplex). I got a new bow and arrows and I had my wife mark the shaft about 1 inch in front of the rest. So I go into the bathroom to see where the mark is in the mirror. I draw the bow, look in the mirror and bam, arrow is gone. I'm like oh **** . I see a hole in my shower curtain and pull it back, then I see a hole in the fiberglass shower wall. I look through the hole and see light and I'm thinking, this isn't good. I asked the wife to go next door and get my shaft but she won't so here I go. I ring the door bell and the neighbor was standing in the door way not happy at all . I go in and get my shaft and apoligize like no tomorrow. Needless to say, it was a long year living next to them. Costly mistake which cost my family a friendship and $90 to fix both showers but could have cost alot more. Lesson learned, I don't play in the house anymore. Not bad penetration though, 4 shower curtains, 2 fiberglass shower walls and about an inch deep into a wooden towel cabinet with a bare shaft.

Deer coming into my treestand, a big non-typical. Setup is perfect. I draw back, take aim, and the pin settles perfectly on it's chest.....My thumb hits the release, arrow glides noiselessly toward it's target............then I woke up.....dang, another day of classes *sigh*
i shot at a deer in my back yard this gun season ( i missed) last month i told my dad that there was a hole in the corner siding of the back of the house, perfect slug hole in the house siding, wont be shooting at deer in my back yard close to the house any more lol, not a bow story but still shooting the house.

One time, I was itching to shoot my bow and it was the dead of winter. I set up the block at work in the warehouse, touched one off high and sent it through 5/8s inch drywall 9 inches of insulation and metal roofing type siding. Fun stuff, needless to say, I had a little patching to do after hours.

I have a friend I wont say any names but he is the head of our production company,Well we both got new bows and and were at the the indoor range thathad 15 foot high foam in case you missed the target. Well he said you have to try my new bow out so I did and of course I said well mine is better you should try it out and he did, But he didn't think about our sights not matching and when he cut it loose It went above the foam and right through the insulation and metal wall. When we went to leave we go around back and there is my arrow hanging by the fletchings so he climbs on my shoulders and retrives my arrow from the wall outside.. Walt
