Default Fanny packs w/Shoulderstraps??

Any of you guys and gals using these? I just broke down and bought one last night and I can't believe I have never owned one before. No weight of the pack pulling my pants down and having to readjust the pack. Comfortable with padded straps, chest strap, and waist strap; and this one I found has lashing straps on it and D rings in case I wanted to tie other stuff to it. I took my DB chair tonight and I also lashed some Icebreakers to it and took off. My last deer of the year is going to be taken from the ground and I didn't need a ground blind as it was warm. No deer moving tonight. Anyway...any of ya discovered the shoulder strap fannys and if ya have...show us what you use and how. These are a bowhunters dream IMO and I am kicking myself in the fanny[8D] for not buying one earlier. This one is high quality and I found it at Sportsmans Whse for $50. I talked to the clerk and told him he needed to get it off of his shelf. He said it had been in the store for 4 years. He dropped it $10 for me. I am pleased. My pack has 3 small pockets and one big main one. Material is high quality and fleece like.

Hardcore, I've been using the Badlands Monster fanny for a few years now. Yeah, it rocks. But, i'm going to buy a regular pack for use with my climber. I think it will attach to the climber better.

Good looking pack. Quality seem real high?

yup! i've gone through my share of packs. i wanted to make sure it fit well and hauled all my stuff with room to spare and it does.

i do the same thing with my blind chair or i'll take my foam hot seat and d-clip it on there. it's comfortable and out of the way when at full draw too.

badlands pack is 120ish. great/popular pack also. just thought cabelas pack better suited me.

My reply is in your 82nd thread. All I'll say here is I don't like them.

Hardcore,

I have often thought I'd like to try one but I thought it might get in the way when I use my climber. I have to wear my fannypack in the front when I carry the climber and I thought the shoulder straps might interfere.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

I've thought about using one like that. I started carrying more stuff with me, camera, etc. and put other things that I always carried on my belt or other pockets in a 'standard' style fanny pack.

But the weight makes it want to sag a bit, and the length adjustment slips once in a while, so I started carrying it bandolier style, which still isn't ideal.

Might start looking into this one a little more.

I also use one, and I use it for every season.
