Default Smooth mods on 82nd?

I read on AT that you can put Ally smooth mods on an 82nd is this true and if it is how much speed would a person loose?

I'm sure someone here can give you a clear answer, but if Bowtech doesn't recommend it, I wouldn't think about doing it.
