WINDY!!!

Went out today and the wind was a gusty 30-40MPH constantly with the occasional 50MPH gust. How do deer react to this type of wind. I would assume they don't move very well in these situations.

Not that windy here but I hear ya man...was a nasty day for sure!

I found the biggest buck I saw all year when I was looking at the topo of the land I hunt......trying to figure out the route a big buck would take in the wind.

I picked a really thick drainage ditch that doesn't look like much on the aerial. I'm glad I thought outside the box that day. The ditch is only on the property I hunt for about 100yds......but that's where he was. I hunted it 5 times and saw him 3X, there.

I hope he makes it through. He was a big 7, this year (biggest buck I saw all season).

I hope he makes it through for you too.....unless I get him . Good luck with him. I just hope it is not so windy tomorrow....although there is an ice storm coming tomorrow. This is one of my few weeks off.
