Gave up on small game hunting to deer hunt. Not much of a sacrifice, very few rabbits and quail around here now anyway.

Stopped playing basketball in HS because it cut into my bowhunting time.[8D]

I grew up in a hunting obsessed family, so I've never had another hobby.

What other hobbies? Hunting is a 12 month a year gig. Just when some think it is over, it is really only just time to start again. I would hate to think how much time I spend a year between scouting, shooting, hanging stands and actually hunting. I know my wife knows it is more time than I spend with her.

I dont know how much action this thread is going to recieve, but thought I'd ask anyway, since I'm bed ridden at the moment and EXTRMELY bored.

Hunting is extremely addictive. It is a hobby, tradition and lifestyle that demands a lot of time from a devoted hunter.

Some may hunt a few times a year, but mostbecome obsessed and spend many hours afield hunting, hangingand scouting.

After you began hunting/bowhunting, did any of the time you spent on your previous hobbies suffer or completely disappear ?

Did you give up on anything, because you started hunting ?
You need to get some hot nurse to give you a sponge bath[8D]

Same goes for me, but my wife also knows that too much time spent together isn't always a good thing! Don't get me wrong, time with family is very important....

Hunting is what keeps me sane
