Default My snowbank buck

I was sitting in a hole ina snow drift that I dug onmy little folding chair in a bush about 12ftx5 ft. Oh and the wind was blowing about 35 mph, but it had warmed up to about 20 degrees. We had a blizzard about a month ago and the drifts are the only thing left for snow just about although it's snowing right now.
He wasn't the one I had wanted all season but bowhunting is a tough gig and it's hard to pass up bucks as the season goes by. That and he looked really good from the side so I put a gator through him at a hard quartering away angle. Aimed behind his last rib and exited above his front shoulder.
Whats crazy is that I watched him tip over at 75 yds and sat there for maybe 3 min. As I sat there looking at him here comes the buck I've wanted all season down the same trail, I could have shot him so easy..uuggghh! For such an ugly windy day the deer were really moving, you just never know!
Oh well, he is a nice buck and grosses 162 inches and will make a cool mount with those tall brow tines. Maybe one of my sons will get a shot at the big guy yet!

Take care and good luck to those of you that are still at it!

Chad

He looked good from this side walking by let me tell you!
